Why Institute Of Natural Medicine

As we have already mentioned that the Institute of Natural Medicine is the only Yoga & massage school in Nepal affiliated with the Government of Nepal’s - Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).  Studying at a government-authorized school is essential, especially if you plan to work or continue your education in Nepal/abroad, as your qualifications must be from a CTEVT-approved institution.

The Institute of Natural Medicine is one of the first massage & Yoga training schools in Thamel, Nepal. This Massage & Yoga Course was established in 1987 AD for students who want to become qualified Yoga Instructors and Massage Therapists. As an integral part of the Institute of Natural Medicine, Founder and Chairman Professor Dr. Surya Bahadur Karki had already established a Massage and Yoga Academy in Nepal in 1984 AD to conduct massage courses for both Nepali and foreign tourists in Thamel. After operating the yoga and massage school, Dr. Karki began providing Yoga & massage training to students, after which spas Yoga School, and massage centers started opening.

Our Institution provides certificates that are legally recognized both nationally and, in many cases, internationally. The course curriculum is approved by the Education Ministry under CTEVT, ensuring the highest standards of education. As a result, our Yoga & Massage Academy is recognized by various national and international wellness centers, Ayurvedic hospitals, spa studios, and naturopathy clinics.

Why Combine Yoga Teacher Training Course with Massage Training Course?

The Yoga Teachers Training and Professional Diploma in Massage is a combined course designed to promote holistic well-being. It integrates yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with massage therapy, helping students develop skills in both healing practices. This comprehensive program prepares graduates for careers in the wellness field, enabling them to support clients’ physical, mental, and emotional health through a balanced blend of yoga and massage therapy.

Choosing a Yoga and Massage Therapy course is more than just earning a certificate—it can be a powerful step toward a meaningful career in holistic health and well-being. This course is ideal for students who are genuinely committed to becoming professional massage therapists and yoga teachers. Our curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

As we all know Yoga is an active, self-practiced discipline that fosters long-term mental and physical transformation. It involves physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. Massage therapy, on the other hand, is a passive where therapist-applied treatment that provides immediate physical relief and relaxation. It involves the manipulation of soft tissues to release tension and enhance circulation. Together, yoga and massage form a powerful combination for promoting holistic health equipping students with the tools to guide others on their journey to wellness.
